The traditional meeting meant for the alumni of different years of the program to get to know each other took place between 12th and 14th January 2024 in the beautiful premises of the monastery in Hejnice.
As in previous years, practically all years of the Czech-German Young Professionals Program were represented, which this year marks its fifteenth year of existence. Last year’s participants shared their experiences of participating in the CGYPP 2023, while the next program was dedicated to networking, a tour of the monastery in Hejnice and an introduction to what awaits us in the program in 2024. A volunteer weekend organized by the program alumni with leading role of Jana Urbanovská became an integral part of the CGYPP year. The traditional CGYPP-volunteer weekend for the CGYPP alumni and their friends and families at a place connected with Czech – German history will také place this year at Broumov region.
But the celebration of the 15th year of the CGYPP will be a special event, where we will be happy to see alumni and partners of the program. During the weekend, we were also listening to the presentations of the alumni from the last 15 years of the program, for example, we heard the story of Petra Kubíni, who last year became the mayor of Brodzany in Slovakia.
This time the alumni meeting was accompanied by typical winter weather and so the program included a walk in the snow-covered countryside and we also went cross-country skiing from nearby Smědava.
The program is initiated and financed by the Czech-German Fund for the Future.
